Have you seen Gracie?

,One year ago, our Project Hound Gracie disappeared from her foster home in East Point, Kentucky.

Gracie was found in eastern Kentucky in March of 2024 with a shotgun wound, infected animal bites and severe emaciation. A wonderful foster stepped up and we funded her food, vetting, spay and emergency room visit (for excessive bleeding post surgery). A rescue had also been secured and things were looking up for this resilient gal.

Hounds, however, are notorious escape artists - especially in rural areas where there are all kinds of interesting critters/smells traipsing about outside the yard. And, having regained her strength, Gracie gave in to temptation; dug under the fence, and ran off.

We had many sightings for about a week, but have received no further tips since April 11, 2024.

We’re still hoping that sweet Gracie is alive and not suffering nor chained to a tree. Thanks to the generosity of a long-time supporter, we’re offering a $1000 reward for information leading to Gracie’s return. A new flyer with info on her markings, last location and a contact number is available for download here.
